Agate and Bond Falls, Bond Falls Flowage

Grumpy morning didn’t left any chance for sun. Inverter beeping lamentably begging for power. To warm up disassembled the bike — as expected ball bearing went bad. Decided to go to Ottawa National Forest where there are many falls and foot paths to them. Besides there are many campgrounds and supposedly there is no fee off season. After 20 minutes heavy rain started and didn’t stop for another hour. Just before Agate Falls found road-side park where had lunch and some internet. All of a sudden sky become blue and sun was shining.

Waterfall wasn’t worth stopping but view from the bridge was pretty cool.

In Bruce Crossing town checked auto parts store in case they have bicycle parts, but surely they didn’t. The owner let me use his address to get parts delivered from Amazon, so I could get what I need in 2 days. This town is about 18 miles from the campground I was planning to stay, so won’t reach it by bicycle (and it’s broken anyway) and didn’t want to go by RV — gas is getting more expensive. The guy dricing Hyundai i10 felt sorry for me when he had full tank after 7 gallons and mine was full after 63.

About 8 miles before road to campground I saw another sign — Bond falls in just 4 miles. Didn’t expect much but it was much nicer than most of the falls I’ve seen before (photo on top).

Also found small shop and they said camping in 2 miles is free and I can order ball bearings to that store, which I did. But after I set up my camping I realized I have another bicycle in under belly storage which had same ball bearing! So replaced it on mine, put more grease and had a nice ride! Weather permitting will paddle tomorrow on the lake and explore bike trails!/p>
